My Biography

Holding a square NES controller in my hands for the first time, I didn't realize how much the entire path of my life had just changed. As the years went by my passion for video games went beyond the scope of only playing. In my freshmen year of high school  I started fiddling around with my own 2d games using a program called Game Maker with GML scripting. It started out as just playing around, but soon enough I was crafting game design docs and even dabbling in my first sprite animations.

When the time came for college, it was a no brainer to study Computer Animation. Armed with my curiosity I was off to embark on a journey that I didn't even realize the full scale of. Because of financial hardship I was unable to secure loans for my education at first. Immidiately there after I obtained  my first credit card and at 19 was accepted for my student loans based on good credit.

My first months at Full Sail were liberating. I was starving for information, intaking every bit (at a ridiculously fast pace) and loving it. Six months into the program at Full Sail my father passed away in a car accident back home. I couldn't believe it. What once seemed so clear wasn't anymore and I questioned every aspect of my life, past, present and future. After a small break to recoup I maintained my momentum and tried to remember the initial passion that brought me all this way (in hopes that it would rekindle after the initial shock had worn off).

Luckily I had the help of my amazing friends and my sister to eventually realize I had gone down the correct path. Though I had liked a little bit of everything (rigging, shading & lighting, modeling and animation) it was a clear choice to further myself in animation since I had come into the program picking it up almost instantly. There were times I doubted myself entirely, but once everything was said and done I graduated from Full Sail Valedictorian with an expensive piece of paper, a demo reel and hunger for adventure.

After some frantic searching out of college, I landed a sweet job at Conduit Labs as their sole animator. It's been a great experience so far. I am thoroughly enjoying Massachusetts with my girlfriend and can't wait to see what's in store for the future of entertainment and my own life as well.
